The surface is where touch can happen– the essential site for relationship. I choose analog and alternative process photography to explore this idea, as photography is a medium of surfaces. Light-meets-silver-meets-water again and again in a series of impressions of the world never put into binary, a series of relationships, a series of intra-actions (Karen Barad, agential realism). Searching for a tether to kin and to home I seek to give image to longing, to reverence, and to cultivation.
